This 3-day Acquisition/Relocation Assistance Workshop covers the importance of coordinating with realty/right-of-way specialists early in the project development process. It provides an overview of the basic appraisal requirements under the Uniform Act and applicable Federal regulations as well as how the valuation relates to the acquisition and relocation process. The training explains the basic Uniform Act acquisition requirements, addresses negotiations, the administrative settlement process, "global settlements" and essential documentation. In addition, an overview of the Uniform Act Relocation Program for residential and non-residential relocation is presented with an overview of advisory services, relocation notices, relocation benefits, and payments, the importance of the realty/personality determination during the appraisal process, moving expenses, reestablishment elements, and essential documentation.
