Course Description:
Training will focus on the basic components of appraisals and the required elements from FHWA’s perspective, in terms of compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations (CFR’s), the Uniform Act and the Right of Way Manual. This workshop covers the proper procedures and guidelines for conducting the appraisal process under the requirement of the Uniform Act and 49 CFR Part 24. There will be a focus on the appraisal process and consideration of real property including fixtures and/or tenant owned improvements, as well as consideration in valuing temporary construction easements. In addition, the workshop explains the basic Uniform Act acquisition requirements, including the offer of just compensation.
