Course Description:
The Caltrans Division of Local Assistance has developed training for Local Public Agencies (LPAs) to take reasonable steps to provide meaningful access to LEP individuals. Presidential Executive Order 13166 states that individuals with LEP should have meaningful access to federally-funded programs and activities. This training will provide LPAs with the necessary information to ensure their programs and activities generally provided in English are accessible to LEP individuals and comply with the Title VI prohibition against national origin discrimination.
