The Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle) and the Department of Toxic Substances Control invite you to be a sponsor/exhibitor at the 2015 Used Oil/HHW Training and Conference to be held April 7-10, 2015, at the Sheraton Universal Hotel in Universal City, California. The conference, titled “The Reduced, The Reused, and the Recycled”, is the preeminent western forum for toxics reduction, chemical waste management and sustainability for the public and private sectors.

This is a great opportunity for organizations and businesses to promote environmentally friendly services or products and be seen by over 300 conference attendees. Attendees come from a wide range of diverse backgrounds and include professionals representing government, business, non-profits, refuse/recycling companies, hazardous waste companies and academia.

Conference Tracks

Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Track The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Track includes basic sessions pertaining to the implementation of HHW programs, California statutes for paint and carpet, regulatory changes that affect HHW programs, and model HHW programs. 

Used Oil Track Sessions include information pertaining to the implementation of Used Oil programs, best management practices, legislative changes that affect the program, research topics for used oil, and administration of the grant programs. 

Emerging Issues TrackSessions focus on topical and emerging issues such as green chemistry, universal waste, extended producer responsibility, problematic waste streams such as sharps and pharmaceuticals, legislative issues, program measurement, pollution prevention, and effective communication for behavior change.
